Review:
This show was amazing! The cast was perfect. This new production is better than the Pre-Broadway tryout and even the Broadway version! It has a better plot and even new and better songs. Douglas Sills was brilliant as Gomez. He passed Nathan up by a mile. He looked, sounded and acted like the character we know and love from the films. His stage laugh was hilarious. Sara Gettelfinger was 10x better than Brooke, and dare I saw it Bebe. Her voice was beautiful. I also must say she is very pretty. Christy Morton was on as Alice. She was amazing, not quite up there with Carolee or Heidi, but pretty darn close. For it being one of her first she was great, it was kind of hard to believe she was an u/s. Cortney was perfect as Wednesday. Her voice and acting were brilliant. She worked really great with Brian. I can't say Pippa Pearthee was my favorite as Grandma because Jackie Hoffman was a lot funnier. She still did great as well. The rest of the cast was insanely amazing! The set was slightly toned down, but there were new additions to it too. I also really loved the curtain it looks and seems normal, but it’s not. I also must say I was not a fan of the second act. It felt slow at times, then it felt paced, it wasn't bad just a tad bit boring. With all these comments I give the show a strong 9.5/10 :D
Stage Door:
Stage door was fun! It was just me my dad and four other people there. The first person to come out was Sara. She still had her Mortica make-up on. I must say it was quite odd. She was however super nice and singed my Playbill and poster. Then Cortney came out. She seemed in a bit of a hurry, so I did not say much too her, but she kindly singed my Playbill and poster. Christy Morton came out next. I told her she was super amazing! She was so sweet and singed my stuff. Then Jason Tesa (EntertainmentAddams) came out and he recognized me! He said "Aren't you that dude from YouTube" I was like yes! He then singed my poster & Playbill. Then Patrick came out and singed my poster, but did not sign my Playbill. Then Tom, Steve, and Blake came out and they all singed. The last person to come out was Douglas Sills. He was so nice and we talked for 10 minutes then took a picture. This was a pretty fun stage door experience. :D
